  34. Not only is Barrett's statement NOT true, but Marc also forgot to include
  35. the rest of the Reuters News report that was in the Houston Chronicle on
  36. 4-10-96 and it goes as follows:

  38. "California based Apple, which last month warned investors it will lose
  39. $700 million (US) in the quarter ended March 29, is trying to work off a
  40. staggering $2 BILLION (US) surplus of inventory."
  41.  
  42. So now we know why Marc and Peter Sinclair-Day can spout off all these
  43. 'cheap' prices for Apple computers. Apple is giving them away trying to
  44. reduce this massive overload of inventory!

  46. I'll have to ask the wife if she needs any more bookends if they get cheap
  47. enough!   :)
